Dinosaur - Limited Watercolor Edition

For the fourth High Line Plinth commission in 2024, Iván Argote presents Dinosaur, a colossal, hyper-realistic sculpture of a pigeon, which humorously challenges traditional monuments by elevating the often-overlooked New York City pigeon, which is standing 21 feet tall on a concrete plinth. Iván Argote’s work critiques the historical narratives we revere, using humor and tenderness to propose new symbolic uses of public space.
